Background

The game is set in a fictional Miami, Florida, called Vice City. In 1986, Tommy Vercetti had just been released from prison after 15 years living in the bottom of society. Once out, the bosses send him down to Florida’s Vice City as a spotter for some new activity. Tommy teamed up with a lawyer named Fredo to plan a big drug case. But the first deal goes awry when drugs and money disappear, and Tommy finds himself fighting to find out who cheated while fighting off the criminal elements in Vice City. As you can imagine, this scenario involves a bit of violence.

Graphics and sound

The overall graphics of GTA: Vice City are quite different from the previous version, but technically, this version has a significantly cleaner interface. The character models look better and are animated—some reused but still great. The sound plays an important role in setting the tone for the entire game. The voice acting used throughout the story segments conveyed effectively and provided the soundtrack to accompany the action. The radio stations in the city are very well made. The 80s music found on the stations helped set the tone for the entire title.

Vice City is a fully developed town, life and style like some of the 80’s setting. Cars go up and down the streets, boats go down the water, the citizens of Vice City are doing their business. Scammers, policemen, and citizens of the city are all capable of performing the act to some extent. You will see rival gangs fighting in the street and traffic accidents taking place. Players can walk around the city or choose to complete quests in the city.
